Greetings to Lanopolis 5.0 attendees, sponsors, and staff members!
Firstly I'd like to apologize for taking so long to write this little "closing remarks" post for Lanopolis 5.0. I have no real reason for such delays other than the terrible thing called procrastination. Granted, there have been a few issues for me on a personal level as well as many on the technical lanopolis front over the past few months, however these are no excuse! I shant bore anyone though with such mundane details. Let's get on with it shall we!?!
Our Attendees Rock!
Thank you to all attendees! If anyone can remember, about 3 months ago we had our LAN event, we had an incredible turnout, and in fact it was the best Lanopolis has ever seen! We had a full house of 120 attendees, and a good handful of additional console and spectator attendees as well. During our peak hours on Saturday evening, with all the attendees, console gamers, spectators, and staff, I would say we had nearly 150 people at the event!
Kudos to all of you for making it to the venue! Despite the terribly inconvenient timing of our public website crash, everyone still showed up, and they were able to find the place without too many problems. Also, thanks to those attendees who went above and beyond to help in making the event run smoothly. The staff had frequent offers from attendees to lend a hand whether it was to help sort out power problems (thanks btw for your patience during those times), man the console station, or assist with tournaments, you ladies and gentlemen were great!

Also a round of applause to our staff members! For all your hard work during the months of preperations for the event. For all those times we needed you to do "just one more thing" for Lanopolis.  Lanopolis 5.0's staff always delivered to the best of their abilities. Around the Corner ..
While most of the staff has just barely begun to tread water, the fallout from Lanopolis 5.0 is over. We'll be working on getting the public website back up over the next little while, and along with it will hopefully come a more integrated website with forums and pictures.
Watch out for the announcement for the next Lanopolis!
